Newman has really good academic philosophies that are reinforced by the professors here. At first I thought Newman to be like any other college or university regarding their Academic strength. I quickly realized that was not the case when I enrolled in a few of my “gen ed” classes the following semester and was challenged in every way possible. I’m not saying that Newman University rivals MIT, or Harvard or Yale. I am saying though that Newman is one of the most challenging universities with regards to small private schools are concern. I’m a little biased but I believe strongly that Newman is not even in the same playing field as other state schools that will go unmentioned for now. This school is a great bargain in terms of what you pay and what you will receive. Our success can be seen in our high acceptance rate for students applying to graduate programs including medical school, veterinary school and dentistry. All in all, if you want a school that prides itself on Academics and faith than by all means, highly consider Newman University and you will not be let down.
