Many people believe that one’s senior year of college is similar to one’s senior year of high school. You rule the campus, go to class whenever you want, leisurely do your school work, stay out late and often and essentially throw all caution to the wind. For many seniors and my fellow classmates this is true….except for me! I decided to fill my freshman year with ‘gen eds’ and other nonsense course that would not fill my major requirements or my graduation requirements and on top of that I decided to change my major mid-summer of my sophomore year from Business to Biology. So here I am my last semester of my senior year taking 20 credit hours and holding down 3 jobs! So one can say that I’m a little jealous of some of my fellow classmates but as the say in Rome “what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger”. I actually I doubt that phrase came from Rome or has any Roman origin. So Ill just keep trucking along and keep telling myself ’14 more weeks, 14 more weeks’
I remember my Senior year at Newman. (My Senior Year in H.S. sucked but not as bad as the earlier years had.)It was all winding down and all good things do come to an end. So, good luck! (Don’t work too hard!) As for the saying you quoted, if it really came from Rome it probably was said by a cook…
