Hello all! It is very beautiful outside on this lovely Tuesday. Its nice to be back from winter break, it took awhile to get adjusted again and into school mode but it happened. The Men’s and Women’s basketball teams had two games on Saturday and we won both! The Women’s game was televised and everyone got free t-shirts with our game theme on them “Spred the Red”. The gymnasium was full, the crowds were wild and it was AWESOME! I hope we have more games like that, it really showed the Newman spirit.
This semester I am taking 19 credit hours and continuing my work-study job. It is going to be a CRAZY semster. Today I have two classes, Methods of Teaching Art in Elementary and Methods of Teaching P.E. Most of my education classes (I am an elementary education major) are alot of fun though. We make lesson plans and learn techniques and games to get kids interested in learning. And of course we get to test out everything in our classes. One of the good things about the education program is that there are no classes on Fridays so you can do observations or catch up on homework or relax from a busy week.
