All is calm…and all is sunny. What a great way to start the new year! Some say that the sophomore year of college is the toughest, but why let that get me down? I’m back on campus, back where I belong! Finally, I get to spend long nights with my friends and homework. I get to go to all the campus activities. The world of Newman is almost exactly as I left it….I feel as if I never said goodbye in May at the beginning of what would prove to be a long summer. There are new faces on campus! The freshman class this year is a great one! They all want to have a good time, both socially and studiously.
This school year will start slow but will soon kick off with enough velocity to make my head spin. Its all like a rollercoaster. The year will start off slow and then…BAM…it takes off sending you in all directions. Trust me, it is a fun ride, just like any other rollercoaster. Except, at the end of this rollercoaster isn’t a carnival worker waiting to help you out of the ride, but Dr. Carrocci, Newman University’s President, waiting to hand you your degree.
College is work, but it is also what you make of it. So…get out there, make friends, dance the night away, and write an awesome paper, because if you play the cards right it is the best 4 (maybe even 5 or 6) years of your life. So start the search, you high school seniors and juniors, so you will be prepared when it finally comes time to enroll in classes. Make sure to schedule campus visits, and please don’t forget to visit us in Newman Admissions!
Hope to see you soon!
