4.5 snow days!!!….a 6.5 day weekend!!! What is this amazingness we’ve just gone through? Most people are calling it the snowpocalypse. The first two days of the snowpocalypse were pretty exciting…I played in the snow with some friends, made snow angels and forts, participated in a World War 3 of sorts (epic snowball fight), but after these 6 days, I’ve got to say, I think I’m done with these snow days. As much as it pains me to say this, I’ve missed school. I know, I know, call me a nerd and what-not, but I do. I finished my homework on Thursday, so I literally have NOTHING to do. Since I work at the bank, I’ve still had to brave the roads, but the cabin fever is upon me. I have watched ALL my shows on hulu, uncovered new music, and attacked Pinterest so much that it should be a crime. I wasn’t one of the smart ones who went to WalMart to get junk food to prepare, so my food is gone too! It’s a major dilemma!
I think what I’m missing most is choir and troubadours. My choir family is always there and is always the best part of my Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. These snow days are not conducive to my friendships! Thank goodness I live on campus and am surrounded by people who are going crazy with me. Also, big thanks to the cafeteria crew for braving the roads to keep us fed during these bleak circumstances. It is much appreciated! Also, a shout-out to Ollie and the rest of the security staff and the grounds-keeping crew on campus! Thanks for all you are doing to keep our parking lots and sidewalks clear.
As awesome feeling as it is to get to one’s destination in a NOT 4-wheel-drive vehicle and survive, I would not wish it upon anyone. Stay safe Jets! It’s scary out there. Yesterday, it took my an hour to make a usual 15-minute drive from my Mom’s house…why I didn’t stay? I have no clue. So, please be safe, and try to not drive in this weather. I believe it is over, but stay on the safe side of things and don’t drive unless absolutely necessary. Once everything does clear up, please remember to support your fellow Jets this weekend and attend A Woman of No Importance showing in the Performance hall Thursday through Sunday!! The cast has worked so hard for this one, and it’s an honor to work backstage for them all. Reward yourselves for surviving the snowpocalypse and see what your Jets have been working for!
Well, I’m off to go Pinterest some more. Maybe I’ll find something productive to do today…probably not. Enjoy your snow day #4!! Spring is just around the corner now, I hope!
I wanted more snow!!!! I would have been fine with the rest of the week off haha! I am glad you got to relax though. However, now that the snow break is gone, you have SPRING BREAK to look forward too!….just remember to stock up on junk food this time
