Hi again!

Last Friday I had the joy of showing a couple of high school sophmores around campus. I probably had the best group =). They seemed very intersted in what I had to say, and were very funny. Even “funnier” than me… Haha…

Also, we had our homecoming this Saturday. Could have been one of the best days so far this semester. Well at least for me. I had misread an email, so I tricked my fellow international golfers (and a tennis player) to go to the alumni lounge after the game. Appearantly the thing I thought we were going to was the night before… Anyways, we were allowed to stay and chatted away with Dr. C, the alumni, and Ann Fox over some cheese and grapes. Me and the other internationals definitely felt like we were at home again. Thank you to both of you for letting us stay. We really appreaciate it! A night that I will never forget.

Again, thank you!

Last Saturday the Walk for Mobility was held on campus in an effort to raise money for making inexpensive wheelchairs in struggling countries. It was the second year that the event has been held and the second year that I have participated. It is fun to see Newman students, faculty, staff, and alumni gather together for such a great cause. This year several of my classmates from the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Newman participated. It was a 5K walk/run around campus, with student volunteers scattered throughout the course giving directions and words of encouragement to the participants. It was a beautiful morning and I think that fun was had by all.
