It is funny how hard you work towards something and you end up turning or choosing a different pathway. Yes, it is more then frustrating to take on a task of this kind, of feeling like you have NO IDEA what you are doing. But you have to have faith and realize that everything happens for a reason. God has a plan and you got to have trust that he will carry you through and Not give you anything you can’t handle. It’s the beginning.

“We cannot know what wil occur, just make the journey worth the taking and pray we’re wiser than we were” - Children of Eden

“Good decisions come from experience. Experience comes from making bad decisions.” - Mark Twain

Well everyone, I have changed my major for the third time. People warned me that this would happen. I have had to make a lot of really hard choices in order to reach my verdict…I will be a radiology technician and then possibly get my masters in Health Administration.

As Mark Twain says, we make bad decisions to gain experience. I will admit that I have made a lot of bad choices throughout my years. These choices have really formed me though, and now I am very confident in my major choice. Psychology and communications are both AWESOME career paths, but I know that I will definitely want stabilty in a job and I believe that something in the health field will bring the stability and the paycheck that I want! (Yes, I may have a little shopping addiction, don’t judge)

For anyone considering switching majors or making any life decision just think it through. Make a pros and cons list. But most importantly be true to yourself. Your experiences will lead you in the right direction.

Now to study for finals!

Keep it classy y’all!

Hi Everyone! Hope you all are getting to enjoy the beautiful weather we’ve been having this week. This past couple days have been great for doing homework and napping outside. It makes summer seem just days away.

Speaking of summer, what are everyone’s summer plans like this year? I’ll be taking organic chemistry at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) and working. Hopefully the teachers at UCO are half as good as the ones here at Newman because chemistry is definitely not my strong point and I’m going to need all the explaining I can get. I’m also hoping to get to take a road trip or two this summer but not sure where to. Anyone have any suggestions?

I’m going home this weekend for my mom’s birthday so try not to have too much fun without me Newman. Well time to get back to work. Hope you all have a great weekend and stay safe!

I DON’T KNOW WHAT I’M DOING

That’s kinda the main idea of this entire post. Junior year is wrapping up and I’m just a little……lost, is the best word that comes to mind. I have certain areas of work I like and others I think are very interesting. But I have this idea that I have to be “good” at something to want to pursue it. No one wants to fail, right? So why want to do something you’re not the best at? Well. I find I’m not the best at anything so I’m kinda up the creek with no paddles with a hole in the bottom. I get this feeling it is still who you know and not what you know and this frustrates me to no end. Its incredibly difficult to make that kind of headway in a place where no one knows you to begin with. Maybe I’m just tired or maybe I’m starting to see things for what they are but somehow I feel I’m being pushed away from my dreams. This I am not okay with, hopefully this is just some sort of phase everyone goes through because this SUCKS!

Bless your faces! If you sneezed while reading this post bless you!

It is kind of funny how life as college student turns into a life of routine. I for one am not a fan of routine, so this is becoming quite irritating for me. We wake up eat breakfast, study, go to class, eat lunch, study, go to another class, practice (piano, sports, memorizing lines/songs, go to the gym) have dinner, do home work, study some more, write papers, trying to get hours in at work (whether on or off campus). All while trying to get to bed at a decent hour. At the same time your living with your friends who want to have great talks with you. Just to start all over the next day.

Summer is less than four weeks away and i for one am excited for this semster to be over with.

On another note we are hosting our Spring Musical Production “Broadway Bound” next Thursday, Friday and Saturday starting at 7:30. It will be a fantastic show, all are welcomed to join!

Hello Everyone! Hope all is well. I’m glad to see everyone made it through the super crazy weather this weekend. It was definitely some way to start off tornado season!

Now that the past hectic weekend is over and done with the real frenzy is about to begin. It’s less than four weeks until school is out for summer break, which means only less than three weeks until finals! And usually this is about that time where people begin to panic and sadly, as much as I hate to admit it, I am one of those people. But this year I’ve decided to put that to an end, I’m going to take the advice of some helpful upperclassman and relax. Now that doesn’t mean not study, it means when I find myself freaking out I’m going to take a break and do something for myself, like go for a run or get a pedicure or maybe even both. I’m going to give it a try and apply this to my all my final projects and test for this semester. Hopefully I can stick to it, let’s keep our fingers crossed.

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week! Don’t forget to get out there are support your Jets this upcoming weekend. Bowling, tennis, softball, and baseball and golf all play this weekend so wish them good luck!

Gladys

It does not matter what part of your life you are in…there are going to be challenges that help you grow as a person. In the past couple weeks I have been faced with some challenges that have helped me become a stronger person. Through these challenges, however, I have come to know who my true friends are and what having true faith in God means.

I must have faith that God has a certain plan for my life and that as long as I work hard, everything will turn out the way it is supposed to. I have also learned that I have some truly amazing friends; friends that I hope to have as part of my life for as long as I live. On top of all of this, I have also been blessed with an amazingly supportive family. God has blessed me in so many ways.

It is crunch time though as far as school. It is time to get all grades up and start preparing for summer! I have purchased my plane ticket for my internship in Myrtle Beach and I am getting so very excited! I am starting to write my first article for the Myrtle Beach Summer Collegiate League website. I am so excited to meet all my new friends down there.

Today we have baseball, softball, and tennis. I plan on going to a little bit of each and can’t wait to see everyone play! Good luck everyone!

Keep it classy y’all

I had a very eventful week of sleeping and getting burnt at baseball games! Not the most exciting spring break ever but I love sleep and baseball players so it was a good time for me!

The boys did super well against University of Arkansas Ft. Smith. Two of the guys got homeruns! So much fun to watch. Because of the rain, they played at Lawrence Dumont this past weekend. Although they lost the series, I still enjoyed watching them play! They are a really amazing team this year.

Only about a month and a half left of school so it is crunch time. I am sooo looking forward to writing papers and stuff……..

Imagine looking down only to see your feet on a tight rope and past your feet a blurred image of what used to be the ground. You glance at your arms and you’re juggling, chainsaws, fire, a lion, and a lion with a chainsaw that is on fire.
That is about how I feel except I’d like to add that there is a pulling sensation from both sides. I either need a clone or get rid of some of the extra work I have. It gets a bit ridiculous and the stress monster shows up and hangs out for a bit then the sick bug flies around. Then it sort of repeats.
How did I break the cycle? I got a concussion. But beyond that its just taking my time and working at MY pace for a while. I won’t always jump when 10 people are saying jump at different times and at different volumes.
So while keeping up with work and homework, I’m living as best I can while I can for as long as I can because I can.
I’ll be back!
